Community Guidelines

A large share of Branded's users are high-school athletes, many of them minors, talking to adults who hold something they want. That imbalance is the reason these rules exist and the reason we enforce the ones about minors without warning.

Protecting minors

Users under 18 are on this platform to be recruited. Adults contacting them are expected to behave as they would with any athlete they were recruiting through a school. The following result in immediate and permanent removal, and reporting to law enforcement where appropriate:

Any sexual contact, comment, or request directed at a minor, or any sexualised content involving a minor.
Asking a minor to move to a private channel to avoid oversight, or asking them to keep contact secret from parents, guardians, or coaches.
Requesting a minor's home address, or arranging to meet a minor alone.
Offering anything of value to a minor in exchange for private contact.

If you are under 18 and an adult on Branded makes you uncomfortable, tell a parent, guardian, or coach, and report it to nilbranded@gmail.com. You will never be in trouble for reporting.

Be who you say you are

Do not claim a coaching role, recruiting role, school, or organisation that is not yours.
Do not create an account in someone else's name or use someone else's photos as your own.
Do not run multiple accounts to get around a limit or a removal.
Do not offer or imply that you can guarantee a scholarship, an offer, or exposure.

Treat people decently

No harassment, threats, or targeted abuse.
No slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
No sharing of someone else's private information, and no sexual content of any kind.
No spam, mass unsolicited messaging, or recruitment into schemes.

Post honestly

Statistics, measurables, transcripts, and film should be your own and accurate. Fabricating them is a removable offence and tends to end recruiting conversations anyway.
Only upload film you have the right to upload — it is often owned by a school, league, or film service rather than by the athlete in it.
References should reflect a real working relationship. Do not trade, buy, or write references for people you have not worked with.

Leave the platform alone

Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect profiles; do not automate messaging or connections; do not probe, test, or work around access controls, plan limits, or rate limits.

Reporting and enforcement

Report anything that breaks these rules to nilbranded@gmail.com. Include the profile and, where you can, a screenshot.

Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may remove content, limit an account, suspend it, or remove it permanently. Anything involving the safety of a minor skips straight to permanent removal. If you believe we got it wrong, reply to the notice we sent you and we will look again.
